ECommerce Stock Sourcing Volunteer – Help Us Find Hidden Gems

Are you passionate about sustainable fashion, vintage treasures, and second-hand culture?

Do you have an eye for trends and what sells online? Join Fight for Sight as a treasure hunter—visiting our 14 charity shops across London to uncover high-value, on-trend, or unique donations for resale on platforms like eBay, Depop, and beyond.

What You’ll Be Doing?

We’re looking for outgoing, creative, and curious volunteers who love to rummage, spot trends, and think outside the box. In this exciting and varied role, you’ll:

Hunt for Treasures: Visit our 14 charity shops across London to identify unique items with strong online resale potential—fashion, books, homeware, collectibles, and more.

Know What Sells: Use your trend awareness and curiosity to select stock aligned with what’s popular across platforms like eBay, Vestiaire, and Depop—as well as local auction houses.

Collaborate With Shops: Work with shop teams to source and route selected stock to our eCommerce hub in West Norwood, while helping raise awareness of what makes an item ideal for online resale.

Capture Great Content: Take behind-the-scenes photos or videos of standout items and shop visits to share with our social media team—perfect for those wanting to build a creative portfolio.

What You’ll Gain:

eCommerce & Resale Insight: Learn what makes an item sell online—from brand and condition to buyer behaviour and emerging trends.

Social Media & Content Experience: Gain practical skills capturing content that reflects our brand and engages online audiences.

Real-World Retail Experience: Collaborate across a fast-paced charity retail network, working with different shop teams and our eCommerce hub.

Boost Your CV: Great for those interested in fashion, merchandising, marketing, social media, or sustainable business.

Make a Difference: Every item you help source and every story you help share contributes to our sight-saving work.

Who We’re Looking For?

• A good eye for trends in fashion, homeware, books, and design

• Comfortable taking photos or short videos on your phone

• Friendly, organised, and happy travelling between shop locations (expenses covered)

• Reliable, curious, and communicative

Flexible Volunteering & Travel Support:

You’ll be on the move, with regular check-ins at our eCommerce hub in West Norwood for guidance and support. You’ll visit charity shops across London. Volunteering hours are flexible—we ask for a minimum of 3 hours per week. We’ll reimburse travel and lunch expenses and provide full training and support from the eCommerce team.

Why Volunteer With Fight for Sight?
